Comma Conundrums

Commas are the bane of my existence.

Take this sentence: It was a, punctuation, nightmare, to, deal, with, commas.

Semicolon Shenanigans Colon Conundrums Period Pandemonium
Parenthetical Pandemonium Dash Dilemma
Slash Saga Bracket Brouhaha

And don't even get me started on commas. Ugh.

Why do they have to be so SO many?

Is it too much to ask for a simple sentence? Is it?

Maybe I'm just being a semicolon.
